II. Manufacturing Process
1. Primary Forming Method
Advanced metal spinning (Metal Spinning) technology is employed.
Based on KMS’s mature CNC spinning system, nickel-based alloy blanks are precisely formed using CNC metal spinning equipment.
This process ensures uniform wall thickness (4.0 mm with minimal deviation), avoids casting-related defects such as porosity and cracking, and significantly improves overall structural strength and sealing performance.
2. Raw Material Pre-Treatment
Nickel-based alloy blanks undergo strict pre-processing, including:
- Surface cleaning to remove oil, contaminants, and impurities
- Flatness correction to eliminate deformation
This ensures defect-free raw material condition prior to spinning and prevents quality issues caused by substrate imperfections.
3. CNC Process Control
Professional CNC metal spinning equipment (referencing KMS-approved machines suitable for nickel-based alloy forming, such as high-precision CNC spinning lathes) is used.
Spinning paths are precisely programmed, with real-time monitoring and adjustment of critical dimensions (Ø215 mm × H40 mm), ensuring dimensional accuracy suitable for chemical equipment assembly while minimizing manual operation error.
4. Post-Processing
Mechanical deburring is performed (spindle speed: 3000 r/min; abrasive grit: 800#).
After compressed-air cleaning to remove residual debris, dimensional reinspection is conducted.
Acceptance criteria fully comply with the specified core parameters.
III. Quality Control
1. Standards Compliance
Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Quality control covers the entire process from raw material incoming inspection to machining and final delivery.
2. Raw Material Inspection
- Chemical Composition:
Spectrometric analysis of Inconel 625 nickel-based alloy
(elemental deviation ≤ ±0.05%)
Key elements: Ni ≥ 58%, Cr 20–23%, Mo 8–10%
- Mechanical Properties:
Hardness testing ≥ 210 HB, compliant with ASTM B443
- Surface Quality:
Visual inspection + 10× magnification; no cracks, inclusions, or surface defects permitted
3. In-Process Inspection
Three critical inspection stages are implemented:
- Dimensional Inspection:
CMM measurement (accuracy ±0.005 mm) for Ø215 mm diameter, H40 mm height, and 4.0 mm thickness
- Visual & Surface Inspection:
Visual + 10× magnification; surface roughness Ra ≤ 1.6 μm; no scratches, dents, or burrs
- Sealing Performance Test:
Hydrostatic pressure testing at 1.2× rated working pressure, pressure holding for 30 minutes with zero leakage
4. Final Inspection
Sampling inspection conducted per GB/T 2828.1-2012, AQL 2.5.
Inspection items include dimensional verification, material revalidation, appearance, and sealing performance.
Qualified products are supplied with a traceability code, including raw material batch, processing equipment, and inspection personnel information.
